"Give me something good to eat!"
- "Trick Or Treat!" Achievement description
The 2025 Trick or Treat Event or The Halloween Spotlight Event, is a limited-time Halloween-themed event, including a revamped version of the 2024 Trick Or Treat Event. The event first began on October 23, 2025 and concluded on December 1, 2025. It was an official event made in collaboration with the Roblox Team as part of a larger event known as "The Halloween Spotlight Event" which ended on November 3, 2025.
Overview[]
The event takes place in an alternate dimension where the World Lotus becomes the World Pumpkin. It features a new floor that mostly takes place in rooms from The Outdoors, but with some sections of The Greenhouse in between, always introduced and followed by The Small Courtyard, and some rooms from The Hotel in the middle of the greenhouse sections.
Candies appear in this floor, as in its predecessor event, along with Candy Bags, a new item. New candy effects have also been introduced in this event, and while some are positive, others can harm the player. Almost any item from any floor can also spawn in any containers, regardless of their sizes.
The amount of open rooms loaded at the same time that are not consumed by Void are always 2, being the smallest Void threshold in the whole game. This means cooperation is required in multiplayer runs, or Void will damage and kill players very easily.
On higher doors, Dread will spawn much earlier to a minimum of 20 seconds, node entities will have a chance to spawn in rooms with no hiding spots, Blitz’s spawn chance will increase, which Rush will rarely spawn afterwards, the Lookman will spawn, and Hide will be more aggressive and will start to be noticeably appear to a minimum of 2 seconds when it will start to attack.
Items[]
Candy Bags are a new minor item introduced in the Halloween Spotlight Event. It can be found on containers and is guaranteed to spawn inside Crypts.
Appearance[]
Candy Bags are a purple bag that has an orange square that is stitched to the bag. It also has the Death Screen symbol on it.
Usage[]
By using it, you will receive 3-5 random candies.
Trivia[]
- Candy Bags completely replace Lotus Petals in the 2025 Trick or Treat floor.
- This means giving Bread to the Caws will increase the spawn rate of Candy Bags heavily.
- Candy Bags were in the Admin Panel, allowing people to get unlimited candies. This bug was patched 3 hours later after the update was released.

The Candy is a new minor item from the 2024 Trick or Treat event and re-introduced in the Halloween Spotlight Event.
Usage[]
During the Halloween Spotlight Event, all the candy from the 2024 Trick or Treat event was reused, plus four new candies were added:
- World's Spiciest Gummy: Makes the player burn, dealing 40 damage over time, but speeds up the player while they are on fire.
- Confusion: Gives the player the Confusion Status Effect for 10 seconds, invertsing movement controls for 10 seconds.
- Sour Roulette: Sets the player's HP to 1/3, 1/2, or 1/1 of the player's MAX HP.
- I Can't Stop: Gives the player a massive speed boost for ~3 seconds (+50 walkspeed), but also forces them to move forwards for ~2 seconds.
- This candy existed previously but didn't force the player to move forward.
- Whoopsie: Flings the player slightly forward in the direction they're facing at a fast speed, making them ragdoll for a few seconds.
- This candy existed previously, but was much stronger, helping players move huge distances very fast, called "Terminal Velocity".
- Life Saver: Heals the player 50 HP, gives the player a temporal blue light around them and highlights important things through walls for 5 minutes.
- This candy was previously called "Guidance" and had a slightly different effect.
- Star Burst: First, has a chance of doing a random amount of damage, and then, gives either the Starlight Vial or the Starlight Bottle effect (healing and speed). Both events happen visually at the same time. If the player dies to the damage, they will die with an explosion.
- This candy existed previously, with the same exact effect, but was named "Volatile Starlight".
- Mid Candy: Sets the player's HP to 1/2 of the player's MAX HP.
- This candy existed previously, with the same exact effect, but was named "In The Middle".

New Entities[]
The Treaters are a group of entities exclusive to the 2025 Trick or Treat floor.
Appearance[]
The Treaters have multiple possible appearances. All of them are black humanoid silhouettes with the appearance of a white sheet ghost overlaid on top, which are used to resemble a beard or undershirt on certain designs of Treaters. Treaters have many different faces, can come in various shapes & sizes, and will be occasionally recolored to other colors such as green, purple, or teal.
Behavior[]
By knocking on a Treater's door, they have a chance to open. When this happens, they will most likely drop 1-4 Candy. Uncommonly, they will instead jumpscare the player, activating Hide's effect, making the player unable to hide. Rarely, they will not open the door at all, giving no candy.
Notes[]
- If the player is playing the floor in multiplayer, when one player opens a door/uses a candy item it will add to everyone's candy/door open count.
Trivia[]
- Grampy has dialogue that gives various details about what treaters are like.
- The inside of a Treater's home is dark and wet, and you would be quickly shoved outside after entering.
- If a player eats a "Whoospie" candy right next to a Treater's house, they have a chance to fall in and get stuck. Despite what would canonically happen, players do not get pushed out, as this is simply a glitch.
- Treaters do not communicate when talked to.
- If a Treater's home is damaged, the broken material is magically filled back in quickly.
- Treaters never leave their homes.
- Treaters may have an unlimited supply of candy.
- The inside of a Treater's home is dark and wet, and you would be quickly shoved outside after entering.
- Some designs of the Treaters are references to other media.
- Treater L's hairstyle is a reference to the hairstyle of Wilson from Don't Starve.
- Treater O's hairstyle is a reference to the hairstyle of Willow, who is also from Don't Starve.
- Treater D is a reference to Mettaton EX from Undertale, having long hair sweeping over one eye, two small dots above the other eye, and eyelashes. This inclusion itself may be a reference to the fact that Mettaton's true form is a ghost.
- Some people are theorizing that the Treaters may be in some way connected to Hide, as they utilize its jumpscare and "hide-sickness" effect. Hide is also orbited by ghost-like faces, which could be relevant due to the ghostly appearances of the treaters.
- Treater's houses will sometimes be decorated with colored lights.
- Treaters are 2D entities, and are just ParticleEmitters.

The World Pumpkin is this alternate dimension's equivalent of the World Lotus. The center of the World Pumpkin was going to be reached by the players in a final room similar to The Hedge Maze replacing World Lotus, and with Jack-O-Lantern Bramble, but this idea was scrapped before the release, as it felt too ambitious. Fortunately, it is mentioned multiple times by Wizard Grampy in-game, and also appears as a miniature version in the Lobby. [2]
