The Bread is an edible item found within The Mines and The Outdoors. In The Mines, it is only obtainable through Louie, either by crucifying it or simply trading with it, while it can be found (albeit, rarely) in the vine-covered chests of The Outdoors.

Usage[]

Bread can be eaten to immediately replenish 45 health points to the player.

Pros and Cons[]

Pros[]

Replenishes 45 HP.
Multiple can be in the inventory at the same time.
Easy to find.
Can be fed to Caws for an achievement and boost your chances for lotus petals.

Cons[]

One-time use.
You need to sacrifice an item or use a crucifix before getting the Bread.
Very rare to find in The Outdoors, thus making the "Feed the Birds" achievement hard to obtain.

Trivia[]

The Bread was first revealed in The Content Update trailer.
Bread acts exactly the same as cheese, healing the same amount of health and even having the same sound effect.
- The only difference between the items are their looks, and that the Bread can be fed to Caws.
The chance of getting Bread when trading with Louie depends on the item you give Louie.
- These were the chances before The Great Outdoors Update:
  - Bread is guaranteed to be dropped by Louie when giving them Cheese, this is the only way to secure Louie drops this item.
  - Bread has a chance of 50% to be dropped by Louie when giving them a Glowstick, a Candle, a Lighter or a Tip Jar.
  - Bread has a chance of 33.33% to be dropped when using a Crucifix against Louie.
There is a very rare chance to find Bread in The Outdoors, with an additional unique use of it being to feed the Caws.
