Floors

Floors are areas that players progress the story in, serving as the 'chapters' for the game. These floors may contain different items and entities from the previous floor, along with brand-new locations. There are currently two released floors and three released subfloors, with at least two floors^[1]^[2] and one subfloor upcoming.^[3] There are also 2 hotel-like joke floors both respectively created as April Fools events in 2023 and 2024.

Trivia

Currently, the longest DOORS run consists of 1,280 doors and 1,285 rooms. If the player prepares a Lotus Flower from The Outdoors in a rift and places it in The Hotel before entering The Outdoors during the run or placed it during a previous run, they can then progress from The Backdoor through The Hotel, The Rooms, The Hotel again, The Outdoors, and The Mines (intentionally dying here to respawn in The Hotel), then back to The Hotel via the Lotus Flower respawn, and finally return to The Mines once more.
Guiding Light is the death messenger to the player in main floors, while Curious Light is the death messenger to the player in subfloors.
- Though, Curious Light is shown to exist in all main floors.
DOORS has other event floors but they are not in the base game, such as The Library?, The Library (TH), Dark Library, The Outdoors?, The Outdoors (TH) from Tower Heroes, The Courtyard (UTG) from Untitled Tag Game, and Haunted Mansion, Nightmare Mansion from Tales of Tanorio.
Subfloors have an inconsistent way of entering them. The Rooms (at Room 60) and The Outdoors (at Room 90/99) can be accessed from The Hotel, but The Backdoor can only be accessed if the player has already been to any of the other subfloors before and has the Detour badge, making it the only subfloor accessible directly from The Lobby as well as the only sub-floor not accessible in a first run for new players.
In every main floor, the amount of open rooms not consumed by Void decreases at specific points of the floor.
- This number is 5 from the start of the floor (Door X00), it decreases to 4 at Door X64, and finally, it decreases to 3 at Door X80, staying like that until the end. These points are the same for every main floor.
The 3rd floor has been heavily rumored to be named, "The Castle" or The Dungeon".
There will be a Mines subfloor, but no info about it is currently known.
