The Laser Pointer is a light source found in The Mines. It is most likely to be found in the second vine chest. It can also be found in toolboxes and lockers.
Usage[]
When active, the Laser Pointer emits a thin, red beam of light at the player's crosshair. This beam of light's range is infinite and can reach up to 5 rooms ahead.

- Very long range.
- Does not attract Gloombats.
- Can stun Giggles.
- One battery restores it to full charge.
- Can be used in rooms with a Firedamp leak.
- Could be used to communicate with other players without using chat, i.e. you can show them items or where to go to.
- Does not malfunction while the player is wet or underwater.
Cons[]
- Only works on high graphics, emits no light on low graphics.
- Weak and dim radius light.
- Can't slow down Grumbles.
- Only illuminates where the laser lands.
- Relatively rare and only obtainable in The Mines.
- Attracts Figure to the player when being used.
- Does not attract Gloombats to a specific spot.
- Not available in any type of shop.
- Will not reduce the chances of Screech spawning in The Hotel.
- When found naturally, has as little as 23.33 seconds of fuel time.
- Has low fuel time of 1 minute and 20 seconds.
Trivia[]
- The decal Image of the Laser Pointer, is originally named "Flute".[1]
- This item can almost always be found in the second vine covered chest that is opened, unless the player has obtained it before opening the chest.
- This goes the same for Spotlight.
- On September 1st, 2024, the Laser Pointer was buffed, increasing its illumination range.
- The laser pointer can be encountered as early as door 105 out in the open, and can be encountered as early as door 100.5 in a locked Item Locker.
- The Laser Pointer had the longest fuel time of the game before The Great Outdoors Update, being 4 minutes 10 seconds/250 seconds.
- At The Great Outdoors Update, its fuel time has been nerfed to 1 minute 20 seconds/80 seconds.
