Lotus Petal is a minor type item found in The Outdoors that can be found inside or on top of containers, on the ground, and inside locked Crypts.
Overview[]
The Lotus Petal is used for creating the Lotus. To do this, the player must collect at least 8 Lotus Petals and bring them to Grampy near the end of The Outdoors. Lotus Petals can be found inside containers, on the ground, or in locked Crypts, which are unlocked using the Iron Key found in the same room as the Crypt.
Notes[]
- The Lotus Petals emit a bright pink glow, allowing you to easily find them.
- This is not the case for Lotus Petals inside of containers, which require you to open them once for them to let off a glow.
- Collecting Lotus Petals is individual for each player, similar to Fuses, meaning each player can get one Petal from the same container, and will only disappear for the players that already collected it.
- Each player can hold up to 20 Lotus Petals at the same time, making it the item players can hold the most of after the Glowsticks.
- Being considered a "minor item", Lotus Petals do not take up space in your inventory. This also means they cannot be dropped.
- The spawn rate of Lotus Petals is heavily increased if the Caws are fed Bread in the run.
Bugs[]
- If a player manages to have the maximum amount of Lotus Petals, then attempting to collect any others beyond the limit will cause the collected petal to visually disappear from its location for that player, but it won't be properly picked up.
Trivia[]
- Lotus Petals and Iron Keys are the first minor items that are not required to progress through the floor.
- Lotus Petals are the first minor items that you can keep across floors.
- The texture for the falling petal particles in the World Lotus, the used Lotus and its rebirth animation is the same as the icon of the Lotus Petal.
- In The Halloween Spotlight Event, Lotus Petals are replaced with Candy Bags.
