| "just letting you know ambush killed you infinite times so all your revives are gone sorry" - Guiding Light (removed) The observation of some of the contents of this page require the use of exploits, cheats, and/or scripts. The DOORS Wiki does not condone these procedures. See Roblox's Terms of Use. Reason: Lots of removed/scrapped content which can only be accessed in the game's files. |
| "Oye, thank goodness Bob said something, or I'd be toast, hombre." - El Goblino Removed and Scrapped Content contains content that is no longer in-game. This article serves as a record for something that was removed or archived. |
Removed and Scrapped Content are features that were removed from DOORS, or abandoned prior to its release.
Entities
- An entity known as "Mobble" was found to be deleted only 3 days before the game's release. The reason for its deletion is because the developers decided that the game didn't need too many jumpscare entities that work just like it, as Mobble was one of many jumpscare entities.
- The developers have said that "Mobble" is a term for entities, with the first Mobble being Jack and the second Mobble planned to be Ambush. The Mobble concept was scrapped four days before DOORS released, and Jack and Ambush were implemented as standalone entities.
- Mobble was originally going to be a "random jumpscare entity". Its mechanic was to randomly jumpscare players, but it was scrapped for reasons above. It was replaced by Jack.[1]
It was supposed to spawn on the center of the rooms, and if the player looked at it, they would be damaged.
- The Horse is a supposed entity that was originally a leak. The Horse was never added, but some people believed that it would make its debut in the game at some point. One particular YouTuber, known as Cheddar Balls, hated the Horse because of it, and made it clear in his videos. This led to RediblesQW eventually posting the Horse as a joke.[2]
- While the Horse was officially posted, it's unlikely that it will ever make a debut as a proper canon entity with a unique mechanic.[3]
- However, the STUPID HORSE can be found through the Chat Control modifier, appearing rarely when "SPAWN FANMADE ENTITY" is voted enough rather than a regular Rush Clone.
- While the Horse was officially posted, it's unlikely that it will ever make a debut as a proper canon entity with a unique mechanic.[3]
- As of The Great Outdoors Update, the Horse has been implemented into The Outdoors subfloor, as a decorative statue in The Hedge Maze.
- An unnamed entity was shared on Twitter/X by LSPLASH in the 17th Daily Teaser. The reason for its deletion was because LSPLASH felt it would be Difficult and annoying to deal with. The entity looks like a mimic-type entity, being made of flesh and disguises itself as inanimate objects, such as locker's.
- This entity is most likely an early concept of Monuments in The Outdoors.
- Alternatively, this could be Dupe disguising as a locker instead of a door.
- Wade is an entity that was supposed to be introduced in the Content Update with Louie but was replaced by Sally, who was supposed to be added in the Mines Update.
- RediblesQW talked about Wade in a NO_DATA livestream and here are all the messages where he talks about Wade :
- for whoever asked me wade was originally gonna be released with louie for the content update and sally was originally planned for floor 2 update, but sally got pushed back and took wades spot
- cuz he lowkey sucked
- i wont tell you wades mechanics cuz theres always a chance scrapped mechanics return in doors as youve seen
- Dread was originally teased in a removed teaser for The Hotel+ Update. It was officially added to the game after The Hunt Update, but it was in the game files after The Hotel+ Update.
- Sally was found out to be removed after The Hotel+ Update. She was later re-introduced and reworked in The Content Update.
- During the development of The Mines, 3 pieces of concept art were released by RediblesQW, 2 of which showcased new types of rooms, the third one, however, showcased the Groundskeeper. After the Great Outdoors Update Trailer, Redibles showed us 2 new concept arts of the Groundskeeper.
Floors
The Garden (files name) or The Old Outdoors is an old version of The Outdoors. Its development started in 2022 but there have been a lot of drastic changes between the final version and the older version. When the Outdoors were released, a strange bug teleported some players to the previous version of the game. This bug may be due to a server update issue.[5][6]

Items
The NVCS-3000, was previously a unique utility item obtainable in Room A-1000 of The Rooms. As of the The Mines Update, all NVCS-3000s that were stored in the rift have been converted to a Jug of Starlight. Currently, it can only be obtained in the SUPER HARD MODE!!!, and it is stated to return in the future.
Puzzle Painting was a puzzle item used for The Hotel's painting puzzle, situated in the now removed The Meeting Room. There were 4 different variants: an oval-shaped painting of a white top hat, a tall painting of a vase, a square, red & abstract painting of a man, and an abstract painting about ribbons.

There was an untitled potion that has removed prior to the game's release. It is still unknown what are the uses of this. Some people think that this is a prototype version of Vitamins and therefore this potion would make the player faster while regenerating the player.

The Glitched Bandage is a scrapped variant of a Bandage that looks exactly like the normal bandage but with glitchy particles. It healed the player for 100 health and spawned an Ambush. It was later scrapped as the developers did not like it.[7]
The Hand Grenade(unconfirmed name) was revealed after the release of The Mines when RediblesQW shared a clip[8] of The Mines during its development and we can see an item very similar to the Holy Hand Grenade from SUPER HARD MODE!!! but the "hallelujah" sound is not played so we can think that this is a sort of "Normal Grenade" and not a Holy Grenade.
Additionally, a developer in this clip said "I was holding -1 hand grenades."

The Knockback 1000 Stick[9] looks like a regular stick but with a pink tip and a pink glowing outline around it.
It has been confirmed that this item flings players who get hit, similarly to Knockbomb and Boxing Gloves.

The Holy Egg Grenade(unconfirmed name) looks a lot like the Holy Hand Grenade from SUPER HARD MODE!!! but with a more oval, egg-like shape and much more detail.
It's possible that this item was the egg that players were supposed to collect during the Roblox event "The Hatch" before DOORS left the event.

The Slice of Pizza(unconfirmed name) looks like a simple pizza slice and would probably have been like other in-game foods like Bread and Cheese.

The Rush Jar(unconfirmed name) is an item that look like the title says, the entity Rush but tinier and inside a jar.
Its purpose is unknown. It is possible that it could've been used in Party mode to instantly spawn Rush, like A-90's Stop Sign.

The Crucifix was present at launch, but was not directly accessible as it was still in development, just like the Skeleton Key. It was only effective on Rush, Seek, Eyes, and temporarily held Ambush.
The crucifix could be purchased in the Pre-Run Shop for 200 knobs and had the description "Single use, blocks most attacks".
The Skeleton Key was present at launch, but was not directly accessible as it was still in development, just like the Crucifix. It was supposed to only open 5 locked doors before breaking but due to a bug, it could be used an infinite ammount of time.
The Skeleton Key could be purchased in the Pre-Run Shop for 100 knobs and had the description "Five uses, holds secrets".
The Gummy Flashlight is the original version of Shakelight in Rooms by nicorocks5555.
It is a prototype version of the Shakelight we know today.
It appeared in the game files 30 seconds after the game started before disappearing, and there was no official way to obtain it, unlike the Crucifix and Skeleton Key that are in the Pre-Run Shop.
Between the The Hotel+ Update and the The Hunt Update, Shears were found under The Courtyard before they were added to the game for The Mines.
You could get them by flying under the map with exploits and then saving them in your Rift, after The Hunt Update, all the Shears saved in Rifts became Evil Dollars.
The Candy Bags was revealed during a daily devlog as a scrapped item but during the Halloween Spotlight event the Candy Bag was added to the game and gives 3 to 5 candies when used.
Candy Effects
- Infested: This candy used to spawn Gloombats, but was removed in the Halloween Spotlight Event.
- Lights Out: This candy used to break all lights, but was removed in the Halloween Spotlight Event.
- Not Crazy: This candy used to play a lot of ambient sounds, but was removed in the Halloween Spotlight Event.
- No Hiding For You: This candy used to activate Hide's effect, which deals 40 damage and prevents hiding for 10 seconds, but it was removed in the Halloween Spotlight Event because Treaters in houses now rarely can activate Hide's effect, which deals 15 damage.
Mechanics
- Glitch had the ability to teleport rogue players back to their group if they were in a room about to despawn. This mechanic has since been given to Void in the Hotel+ update, although Glitch still does this in The Rooms, The Backdoor, The Outdoors, Retro Mode and in HOTEL-.
- Vitamins originally healed players when used, but this was removed in The Hotel+ Update so other healing items could be added in the future, like the Green Herb. Starlight acts somewhat similarly to this old version of vitamins, in that it provides a speed boost and healing, which may be an intentional callback. However, this mechanic is still present in HOTEL-.
- Before The Mines Update, A-60 could open the next door.
- A-120 had the ability to block the next door, not allowing the player to open it. It was removed because it would sometime cause softlock by not allowing the door to open after A 120 left.
- Before The Content Update, Grumbles and Queen Grumble could have been blinded by a Flashlight or Bulklight. It is unknown why this mechanic was removed.
- Before The Hotel+ Update, doors had a light above them that would turn on and make a sound once the door was opened.
- On October 2nd's update, a new button called "Remove Invisible Barriers" got added to the Admin Panel but got removed on October 3rd because it wasn't working. This was supposed to remove invisible barriers from the game like in Battle/Party Mode.
- Before The Hunt Update, Glitch had ability to teleport players when room generation fails. In this encounter, Glitch also closed previous doors and unloaded every room behind to fix generation error. This mechanic was removed, because room generation was improved in the update, and room generation fail became less common.
Escape Counter
The Escape Counter (also called Win Counter), was scrapped because the script that was supposed to collect the amount of times the player has escaped simply didn't work.
Personal Room
The player could buy furniture to decorate their own personal room. The reason of why it was scrapped is unknown.

- In The Mines Update, Figure's heartbeat minigame was replaced with a similar minigame for Hide, but was removed shortly after the update. Figure's minigame still exists in the HOTEL- and SUPER HARD MODE!!! modifier, but it was re-introduced in The Content Update.

Designs
| Rush | |
|---|---|
| This version of Rush takes the appearance of a yellow smiley face smiling eerily, this design is from the ARG "The Smiley Archive" and was most likely a placeholder. | |
| Ambush | |
|---|---|
| Ambush had its original appearances scrapped due to unknown reasons. However, there are a lot of differences between both original and currently used designs, being completely red and what appears to be a scalp under it, the second one has a Jack like understructure, the 2.5 design is the most similar one to the current one, all of the original designs look "clean" instead of the current distorted appearance. | |
| Jack | |
|---|---|
| Jack had several designs throughout development, Jack's first design was somewhat similar to Seek, but deformed and unpolished, the second design resembles the current one, but having less teeth and slightly less details, the 2.5 design was given to the wiki, but never was used in game. It has more teeth and details. Jack was originally going to be named Mobble. | |
| Seek | |
|---|---|
|
Seek's original appearance differs a lot from the current appearance, being more bent down forwards and mangled. The appearance is confirmed to be based on a free ReDead mesh in the creator marketplace with its texture altered to look more like the current Seek. |
| Seek Eyes | |
|---|---|
|
The Seek Eyes originally had a lot more veins. They can be seen in the image of the old Seek chase. |
| Figure | |
|---|---|
| Figure had three scrapped designs, the first was a white slender figure, the second was a similar design to the third design but with a potato-shaped head with 2 spherical eyes, the third design is very similar to the Figure's current design, although it had round hands and was shorter. The Figure was redesigned shortly before the official release on August 10, 2022. | |
| Eyes | |
|---|---|
| In their first iteration, Eyes were originally meant to be much less sophisticated, being only a few eyes in comparison to their current version. Notably, they had a pair of flashing eyes similar to Halt though red in color, which could also be seen in their unused jumpscare. Eyes was originally going to be called "The Look Man". This name was reused for The Lookman entity. | |
| Halt | |
|---|---|
|
Halt's current design was evidently drawn from its first. However, the original design was much darker and tenebrous compared to its reinstated form. Halt was originally going to be called "Shade". |
| Dupe | |
|---|---|
|
This version of Dupe is very similar to the current one, with the only difference being that it isn't a 3D model, and has no arms or hands, Dupe's design was updated in The Mines Update |
| Sally | |
|---|---|
|
This version of Sally had a very rare chance of spawning in windows, before disappearing shortly after with a lightning strike, she was temporarily removed, but still appeared in the Lobby, in The Content Update, she was re-added with new functionality, before The Content Update, she was commonly known as "Window" by the community. |
| Giggle | |
|---|---|
| This version of Giggle had the same model, but however RediblesQW has stated that they have tried to make different Giggle variants, these variants would have different colours, RediblesQW has also said at one point in Giggle's development that they have tested Giggles with black eyes, but they decided to stay with purple eyes. (NOTE: The images are possibilities of what it could of looked like, There is no official images of them) | |
| Grumble | |
|---|---|
| This version of Grumble had more eyes than it currently does, it was originally called "Screech Worm" in the files. This model was likely never finished. | |
| Jeff | |
|---|---|
| Before The Mines Update, Jeff had a slightly different appearance, with having less tentacles, and less animations and interactions, in The Mines Update, their shop got revamped to look better. | |
| El Goblino | |
|---|---|
|
This version of El Goblino is very similar to it's current design, with there being a few differences. He did not have an earring, he had red pants instead of brown shorts, and overall looked less polished. |
| Bob | |
|---|---|
|
This version of Bob is similar to its current design, with the main difference being its face. This version of Bob was used until the April Fools 2023 update. It was replaced due to it using assets not made by RediblesQW. |
| A-60 | |
|---|---|
| This version of A-60 is darker, and looks closer to A-60's most iconic face combination in The Rooms. This version of the entity was not an actual entity in-game, and was instead a troll entity spawned by the devs during a livestream from the YouTuber KreekCraft, this was before A-60 was properly introduced in The Hotel+ Update . | |
| Lookman | |
|---|---|
|
This version of The Lookman had no eyes and was slightly wider than the current design. Making it's appearance more similar to Shadow. |
| Haste | |
|---|---|
|
This version of Haste did not have a physical appearance, but was instead a reddish-pink vignette around the player's screen. |
| Hide | |
|---|---|
|
Before The Mines Update, Hide didn't have a physical appearance. Instead, its appearance was a bright white eye in a shadow background show in the Eviction Notice achievement. (NOTE: The image is a render of Hide before The Mines released) |
| Snare | |
|---|---|
|
This version of Snare is very similar to its current design, but was less polished and lower quality as it did not involve its lower part. |
| SCJVEREECH | |
|---|---|
|
This version of SCJVEREECH is pretty much same to it's current design, with the only difference being the eyes having the different texture. |
| Guiding Light | |
|---|---|
|
This version of Guiding Light was only static with a dark blue coloring.
This design was removed in The Mines Update, with Curious Light's old design getting removed. |
| Curious Light | |
|---|---|
|
This version of Curious Light was only static with a dark yellow coloring.
This design was removed in The Mines Update, with Guiding Light's old design getting removed. |
Soundtracks
The inaccessible "void" area beside The Reception of the Hotel. The neon white block emits music. Stylistic modifications have been made to the model for ease of viewing, including decreasing the opacity of walls, increasing the world brightness, and changing the material of the "void" from neon to plastic.
In previous versions of DOORS, an inaccessible void area existed beside The Reception of the Hotel, with a neon white block emitting this soundtrack. Unlike other soundtracks, this was not composed by Lightning_Splash, but is rather APM Music uploaded by Roblox.

| "Audio/seekv2" | Appears to be a scrapped version of Here I Come. Its upload date is three months after Here I Come, suggesting it was composed afterward. However, the Here I Come asset music has "v2 with beats" and this file also has "v2", meaning that this could be the instrumental version of Here I Come. It seems to be an early version of Seek's The Mines Chase. | 2:10 | 151 BPM | D Minor | |

Rooms
Vent Rooms were rooms that had a boarded/broken door, and a vent on either the left or right that led to another room with a working door. This was removed due to glitches, such as Rush rebounding, and Screech appearing in a vent. The vents in this room were repurposed for Small Basements after The Hotel+ Update. This room is still present in HOTEL-.
Mini-Libraries were seemingly poorly lit rooms that were reminiscent of The Library hence the name Mini-Libraries. They had a few bookshelves making somewhat of a pathway to find a hidden lever somewhere within the room. It was removed most likely as the developers wanted to focus on the decoration and gameplay of the basements. This room is still present in HOTEL-.
These versions of the basement rooms replaced the older basements in The Hotel+ Update. These basement rooms were relatively small in size and every single basement used the same layout. These versions of the basements were removed in The Content Update as each basement room now has a randomly generated layout.
These old basements can still be found in SUPER HARD MODE!!!.
Older Basements originally had a simpler and more shallow design. The rooms had no vents, and the layout was different. This was majorly improved on in The Hotel+ Update where they got more depth and difficulty added to them. Their improvements were teased upon with a tweet by Lsplash, later to be added in The Hotel+ Update, as mentioned before.
The Meeting Room was a small hall with several paintings on walls that are messed up and players should put them in correct Guiding Light's shape. Sometimes this room could have a table.
To exit the Meeting Room, players must take the Paintings and put them where the frame is outlined on the wall. The outlines will be light blue and are shown by Guiding Light. Once all the paintings are in their respective places, the fireplace will move down with a click and the next door will be revealed.
This room was removed in the 2025 Advent Calendar Event update, because there were several bugs with it, and the developers want to focus on better puzzles.
Gallery
It was an ordinary two-story room with a huge zigzag staircase and two floors. This room was removed in The Mines Update. The first staircase leads to the middle floor, and the second to the second floor. Perhaps the room was removed because it was too confusing. It can still be found in SUPER HARD MODE and HOTEL-.
The original version of the Library was very different compared to the current version. The room was significantly smaller and was much less detailed. The bookshelves also had a different, much more basic design, and the books that the player needed to collect looked exactly the same as the rest of the books. This version of the Library went through many changes and updates over time until it was completely overhauled in The Content Update.
This version of the Library can still be found in HOTEL- and SUPER HARD MODE!!!
Before the release of The Mines Update, the Infirmary was a much smaller and less detailed room. This old version of the Infirmary was just a single room and lacked the hallway area that the current version has. The skeleton key door was also simply found on the left side of the room and was completely out in the open.
The old Infirmary can still be found in SUPER HARD MODE!!!
Before The Mines Update, this was the room that Halt would appear in. The room is a narrow hallway that was made up of two identical sections. This room was eventually replaced with The Dining Hall with the release of The Mines.
Halt's old hallway can still be found in HOTEL-
The version of the Courtyard prior to The Mines Update. This original version was much smaller and had a less detailed design. The trees and bushes had different, more basic models, and the rain effects were less realistic. This version also lacked the Shears and small basement area that the current version has.
This old version of the courtyard can still be found in HOTEL- and SUPER HARD MODE!!!.
Prior to The Mines Update, rooms in the Greenhouse were much more simple in design. The old Greenhouse has different decorations, darker lighting, and different room types. The old Greenhouse had L-shaped rooms instead of the 4-way rooms the current one has, meaning that Dupe was originally not able to spawn here. The ambience in the old Greenhouse was removed with the Mines update revamp, however as of The Great Outdoors Update, the ambience has been re-added.
The old Greenhouse still exists in SUPER HARD MODE!!!
Old Room 100, commonly known as The Electrical Room looked similar to The Hotel+ version, but it lacked the maze area and the rift downstairs. Instead, the player could not go downstairs as it simply faded to black and had an invisible wall. The place that contains the circuit breaker puzzle is now simply a small hallway with no windows. The door to it cannot be opened with lockpicks. Up by the balcony area, there is a gate from the courtyard. This was removed in The Hotel+ Update because of the redesign. Once the lever is pulled, it will trigger a cutscene with Figure. Figure will turn towards the doorway on the metal balcony by the doorway. Its mouth seems to glow every time it roars. It will swing from the roof and falls in between the staircases. Around this time, Unhinged will start playing instead of Unhinged II, as mentioned above. While pulling itself up, Figure will accidentally remove a metal shelf that was blocking the way to the elevator. At this point, the player has 2 choices. The first choice is the intended option. The player turns around, goes back to Room 99 and hides. They will play the heartbeat minigame with Figure, and then once Figure has left the room, the player goes to the elevator through a removed metal gate door and gets the Electrical Room Key. The second choice is the easier option. While Figure is still pulling itself up, the player could simply go through the unblocked staircase (Once Figure has unblocked it). They then get the Electrical Room Key in the elevator.
Once they have the key, the player simply needs to go down to the doorway of the breaker room and open it with the key. Then the player must enter and do the breaker puzzle. The player does not need to find any breaker switches to insert into the breaker. The puzzle is slightly harder, with even the first part of the puzzle being faster than the Hotel+ version. While doing this, Figure will be roaring and attempting to get out of Door 98. Once the breaker puzzle is completed, Figure will break down the door and run to the elevator. It is very easy to outrun, however. This chase was also different due to balancing purposes, Figure's hitbox is way bigger once the start of the room. Once the player get to the elevator, it will play an older version of the ending cutscene.
Gallery
It was a big parkour room where the player had to jump over pipes to get to the other side. The reason for the deletion is the complete redesign of second seek chase.
This room was shown for a few seconds during the official The Mines full trailer. It was actually never released to the actual game.
Additionally, the minecart tracks are different from the final, showing what appears to be wooden planks under the rails. The same bridge appears in the final release at the Figure's first encounter in The Chasm.
This section probably replaced the actual cave sections of the Seek minecart section. During this segment, a 2-ways decision is seen, being the 2 possible ways left and straight. After the player decides to keep going straight, you can see a hole in a rock in the path of the minecart and the player crouches to avoid being hit.
Guiding Light actually can't be seen during the trailer, it was likely added later. It is unknown why this section was removed or replaced.
Trivia
- This room can be found hidden in the files of the game.
- In this version of the room, the spike pits are replaced with the track going into a flood of Seek slime.
- The model for the bridges that are used in this room are the same as the ones used in The Chasm and the large, multiple door minecart room.

The Stone Room was one of multiple teasers that were releasing prior to the Hotel+ update. It seemed to be part of The Mines, judging by its looks. Unlike most rooms in The Mines, however, this one was well lit. It had several pillars lining the area. Other than that, no information is known about this room.
This room was supposed to be introduced in The Great Outdoors Update, but since it is currently impossible to get a Lotus Flower in The Backdoor, this room wasn't (technically) introduced.
This room exists in game files. It was most likely originally intended as a random Greenhouse room, but remained unused.
It was a normal room with two floors, being connected by stairs. It is unknown why this room was removed when Hotel+ released. The entrance could be both upstairs or downstairs. This room was re-introduced after The Mines Update. Now this room may contain two Dupes. (Not present in SUPER HARD MODE!!!, because its an older build of the game.)
Before The Hotel+ Update, Room 99 had a lot less structure and was similar to a normal hotel room. It was a square shaped room with many random assets and drawers, not to forget the copious amounts of of hiding places where the player was meant to utilize to escape the Figure during the heartbeat minigame. It was reintroduced in PARTY MODE as a normal room.
The 4-way Minecart Room was a Generator puzzle room that spawned throughout The Mines. This room could spawn once or even twice during a run. It was removed in the first patch after the release of the second floor, probably because it was extremely long and tedious to complete.
The players had to find 3 Fuses. This room relied heavily on a minecart, with multiple levers to change the path of the minecart, with different wood planks, that normally needed to be broken to find every fuse. Treasure rooms could also spawn behind wood planks.
The room was added back in The Great Outdoors Update, with a few changes to make it shorter and not as tedious.
Trivia
- This room was supposed to be re-introduced in The Content Update, but RediblesQW forgot to do it.
Named "Backdoor_Chunk1" in the game files, this room was added to The Backdoor in The Content Update, and later removed in The Great Outdoors Update, then, it was again added in the Daily Runs Update, present in both The Backdoor and Daily Runs. It can spawn up to twice per floor.
It is the only "chunk-generated" room in the floor, with randomly selected and positioned chunks that can have closets, drawers, gates, low roofs that players have to crawl through, broken walls leading to the Vacuum, boxes, etc.
The removal's reason was likely because it caused players to get lost in the room and confused due to its labyrinthine layout, and also used a lot of the players' time, which are big issues because of Haste's presence in this floor.
A variant of this room was also present in RANKED MODE, until the mode was removed and replaced by Battle Mode.

|
Old Grandfather Clock | The old grandfather clock looks pretty much same as current grandfather clock, although it had no hands, it was re-designed to have hands after The Hotel+ Update. However, it still exists in HOTEL-. |
|
Awesome Tony Statue | There was a statue of what many fans call 'A Bacon Hair', with the words 'awesome tony'. It could've been found in The Library. It was later replaced by some furniture which had The Alarm Clock in The Mines Update. However it still exists in SUPER HARD MODE!!! and HOTEL-. |
|
Old Courtyard Statue | The old statue in The Courtyard used to be a simple Roblox avatar with no accessories, now it is more detailed and has a few accessories, it still exists in SUPER HARD MODE!!! and HOTEL-. |
| Old Greenhouse Decorations | Before The Mines Update, there used to be more decorations in old greenhouse, but instead of only containing grass, flowers and bushes, it's also used to contain trees. These decorations still exist in SUPER HARD MODE!!!. | |
|
Old Garden Beds | PlaceHolder |
| Image | Name | Info |
|---|---|---|
|
Tiled Ceiling | The Tiled Ceiling seemed to be a gray tile with a darker gray grid placed on it, as well as a checkered pattern with darker gray tiles. This feature was most likely removed before release because it didn't fit into the atmosphere/gameplay. |
| Alternate Drawer Type | These drawers have the middle sticking out a bit instead of just being flat.[12] | |
|
Alternate Candelabras and Candles | There were multiple candelabra and candle designs, but only one is a item. One of these was reused in the current Mini-Bookshelf and some of the other candles/candelabras have been reused in the DOORS's The Haunt event lobby.[13] |
| Unused Stool | This stool was never used in-game. It would've simply been used as decoration in the The Hotel.[14] | |
| Unused Mini-Bookshelf | The unused mini-bookshelf looked more simplistic than old mini-bookshelf, it was later re-designed before it was released. | |
| Unused Regal Chair | This presumably unused regal chair is the old version of the current regal chair in The Hotel that has been re-designed before it was released.[15] | |
|
Unused Mines Door | This model for Mines Door was shown in DOORS: FLOOR 2 OFFICIAL SNEAK PEEK. in that sneak peak it was stated that everything shown was subject to change like how the minecart tutorial isn't at Door 101. the design looks the same, but the number plate text is different. |

Modifiers
Event Modifiers
"Formerly known as Ranked Mode!"
Cannot be used with: Anything
Floors: The Hotel
| Reason for removal: The creation of BATTLE MODE, a better and improved version of PARTY MODE. |
"2024 Halloween event. Find and eat Candy to get random effects!"
Floors: The Hotel, The Mines, The Backdoor (With Admin Panel), The Rooms (With Admin Panel), The Outdoors (With Admin Panel)
| Reason for removal: This event was replaced by The Halloween Spotlight Event, a better and improved version of it. |
Lighting
| Reason for removal: Was broken and had no effect (Could return in future updates) |
Ambush
"Ambush will endlessly attack.."
Requires 'Hotel Hell'
Floors: The Hotel, The Mines, The Backdoor (With Admin Panel), The Rooms (With Admin Panel), The Outdoors (With Admin Panel)
| Reason for removal: Permanently removed because LSPLASH was unable to fix 'Again & Again & Again', and the modifier kept breaking after every major update. |
Seek
"Seek's chase will be longer and start earlier."
Requires 'Take A Breather'
Floors: The Hotel
| Reason for removal: Made the game easier since a longer Seek chase would mean more rooms skipped |
"Seek runs unfairly faster."
Floors: The Hotel, The Mines, The Backdoor (With Admin Panel), The Rooms (With Admin Panel), The Outdoors (With Admin Panel)
| Reason for removal: Seek's movement speed was reworked in The Mines Update to be dynamic instead of a fixed number, breaking the modifier and causing it to do nothing. |
Halt
"Halt is guaranteed to attack, and is significantly more difficult."
Requires 'Two Steps Ahead'
Floors: The Hotel
| Reason for removal: Halt's movement was reworked in The Mines Update to directly follow the player, which would have caused the modifier to work incorrectly. |
"April Fools 2023 mode. Older build of the game. Data won't transfer."
Floors: The Hotel
When the Backdoor Update was released, a new room generation system was added that the April Fools event was not compatible with, causing it to be removed from the game entirely.
Later on, the event was re-added into the game as a selectable floor, then changed back into a modifier (but users no longer need to obtain the badge to use it) with a new knob percent "reward" (-123.456%), although the badge remains unobtainable.
"Replicates the April Fools 2024 mode."
Floors: The Hotel
This modifier was removed due to a glitch when activating this modifier, it carries over to the Mines, therefore causing a crash. LSPLASH removed this modifier temporarily to fix this bug. This modifier has returned in "The Content" update.
"Eyes can teleport."
Floors: The Hotel, The Mines, The Backdoor (With Admin Panel), The Rooms (With Admin Panel), The Outdoors (With Admin Panel)
This modifier was originally scrapped due to this ability instead being used for Eyes's Floor 2 version but has since been reintroduced as a Hotel-only modifier, under the new look:
Sounds
| Name | Sound | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Old Door Opening | There used to be an old sound when opening the door, this was changed after the Hotel+ Update (excluding the Library's entrance and exit doors). Most likely, the reason for removing this sound is that this sound was taken from the toolbox and too many games used it. | |
| Grandfather Clock | Before The Hunt update, grandfather clocks used to emit loud ticking sound. This sound still can be heard in SUPER HARD MODE!!!. | |
| Elevator Door Opening | Before The Haunt update starter elevator in The Reception made a loud creaking sound when opening/closing doors. It was removed because this is the out of place sound for this type of elevator. | |
| Heartbeat Minigame Start | Before the The Mines update, a loud shrill sound was played when the Heartbeat Minigame started. According to LSPLASH, this sound hurt the players' ears and distracted them from beating the Heartbeat Minigame. | |
| Old Library Lamp Stand Break | Before The Hotel+ Update, this sound used to play during the Library cutscene when Figure broke the lamp stand. This sound was removed in the aforementioned update, because the cutscene was reworked and the sound was replaced with a different one. | |
| Old Item Spawn | Before the The Mines update, this sound used to play when any type of items spawned in containers. This sound was replaced by new spawn sounds, that depends on the item type. | |
| Figure's Grunts | Grunt #1
Grunt #2 |
Before the The Mines update, Figure used to play these sounds when the player who was hiding failed the Heartbeat Control Minigame. These sounds were removed in aforementioned update because Figure and Heartbeat Control Minigame were reworked. |
| Figure's loud footstep | Before the The Mines update, this sound used to play when the Figure stepped on the floor with its right foot. However, this sound was removed because of Figure's rework to prevent bugs. Now, the Figure always plays its main footstep. This footstep sound is still present in cutscenes with Figure. | |
| Giggle's death sound | This sound was meant to play when Figure stomped on a Giggle, but due to bugs with their interactions, it currently remains unused. |
| Name | Sound | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Wall Clock Ticking | In The Mines update, the wall clock sound was removed for unknown reasons. The possible cause is that the clocks now go faster. However, in The Content update, this sound was re-introduced, in an speed-up version. | |
| A-60 Spawn Rumble | In The Mines update, the quiet "Spawn Rumble" sound of the A-60 from The Rooms has been removed. It was played when the A-60 just spawned, and is waiting 5 seconds before going to the next rooms. And after The Mines update, when the A-60 was spawned, a distant sound immediately started playing. The reason for removing this sound is unknown. However, this sound was later re-introduced in The Content update. | |
| Strong Lightning Strike | Before The Mines update, there was a loud thunderstorm sound in the game, which was played during the Seek chases and in The Greenhouse. It was removed, perhaps because it was too different from the sound of a calm thunderstorm, making the game unrealistic. This sound was re-introduced in The Great Outdoors Update, and it was also added to The Outdoors subfloor. | |
| Greenhouse Spooky Ambience | Before The Mines Update, the looped spooky ambience was played in The Greenhouse, but due to the redesigned Greenhouse, LSPLASH forgot to re-add it. This sound was re-introduced in The Great Outdoors Update. | |
| Seek Near Footsteps | Before the Hotel+ update, When Seek was close to the players, it made a loud stomping sound. For unknown reasons, this sound was removed from game. This sound was re-introduced in The Great Outdoors Update. |
Note: These sounds assets are currently deleted by Roblox platform moderation, and can't play during the gameplay. It's possible that these sounds will be replaced soon manually, because they weren't removed intentionally.

UI (User Interface)
The old Shop/Menu was very different to its current version, having:
- Perks section
- Decor section
- Store
It is likely that the Perks section was the old version of codes, and the store section is still in the game, it is likely that DOORS was going to have a personalised room for players to decorate.
It was likely that it was removed due to decor not fitting the game, and it being not as polished.
The old credits for DOORS
The appearance of the old settings for DOORS
The old settings have a lot of similarities with its current version, however having a few changes, with not having a transparent background, and being bigger on players screen. The image shown is only the audio section, it is likely there is more images of the old settings.
This settings menu was scrapped before the game released.
The old lobby gui for DOORS
The old Lobby GUI highly similar with its current version, however having a few changes, being on the side. The old lobby gui was removed after The Content Update.
It was removed because it was confusing and inconvenient.
The old store for gamepasses
The old store for Knobs
The old Modifier Selection menu for DOORS
The old Modifier section is different to what it is now, being separated from where you would select a floor and the old Modifier selection menu, for this reason (and create elevator screen) were turned into one GUI called the floor selection screen. Now it includes modifiers, creating elevator and Admin Panel gamepass.
This version was removed due to it being confusing for new players, and being better combined with the floor selection
All of the available endscreen attributes, some scrapped, removed, or still in the game.
Bugs
- Before The Mines Update, Dupe's door number sign was used to be less "vibrant".
- Before The Hunt Update, players could climb onto the reception desk. If they crawl a little further and pass through the wall, they will end up in an empty room, after which they will be teleported by Glitch.
- Before The Mines update, players could stay in Seek's last hallway by using a Crucifix, right before door closes. However, they will be softlocked. It can be still done in SUPER HARD MODE!!!
- Before the Hotel+ Update, players could make this bug even easier: they just had to walk through the door at the moment it was closed, and they wouldn't die from Seek.
- Players can still do that in HOTEL-.
- Before the Hotel+ Update, players could make this bug even easier: they just had to walk through the door at the moment it was closed, and they wouldn't die from Seek.
- When The Mines released, you were able to hide in drawers, however this would only work in The Mines, This was later patched.
- Before the Great Outdoors Update, you were able to hide from Rush and Ambush by going behind a hotel cart in certain rooms of The Hotel, this is because hotel carts had an invisible wall.
