"WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE
ELECTRICAL ROOM"
- The text on the locked metal door.
The Electrical Room, also known as Room 100, is a pre-generated boss location and the final room in The Hotel. It is most notably the setting of the second encounter with Figure in its same appearance.
Overview
The Electrical Room is a maintenance room and a largely vertical area, consisting of multiple floors connected via staircase. The floors themselves are simply different rooms in the area:
- The first and main floor is a large and dimly lit storage area with flickering lights, closets akin to those in the Greenhouse, several metal shelves, and spare doors scattered about.
- The lower floor is where the rift can be found, situated in the middle of the room with some boxes laying around.
- The top floor contains the room with the elevator.
The interactive map of The Electrical Room can be found here.
The staircase lies behind wide metal gates, which can only be opened with a lever. The door to the breaker room, locked with a special key exclusive to The Electrical Room, resides in the same room as said gates.
Walkthrough
In order to activate the Mining Elevator and exit The Hotel, players must find all 10 Breaker Switches scattered throughout the area while avoiding Figure. The switches must then be brought to the breaker room, and the Circuit Breaker Puzzle must be solved.
Players will first be walking through a winding hallway in the storage area, formed by wire gates that are broken up by a few turns. At the end of the path is a room with a lever, closed gates with an exit sign above, and a locked door containing the Circuit Breaker Puzzle. Flipping the lever will open the exit gates, while triggering a cutscene where Figure will appear, run down the stairs, and begin chasing players.
Figure will end its pursuit once players have ran for long enough or hid in a closet until Figure lost interest. During this initial chase, the wire gates will be lifted, allowing full access to the storages. At this point, Figure will start patrolling the area while players search for the Breaker Switches, found in shelves, on the floor, or on top of pipe supports. Players must also unlock the door to the breaker room, with either a Lockpick or the Electrical Room Key found at the top floor. Interacting with the Circuit Breaker in the room will automatically place all found Breaker Switches in the box.
Once all 10 Breaker Switches have been placed, a cutscene will play where an exposed live wire will light up a puddle of oil; Figure will walk over it, get burned by the newly started fire, and start panicking as it repeatedly bumps into the walls, eventually escaping by jumping out of a window. Players will then have to solve the Circuit Breaker Puzzle, a memory game that involves flipping the correct switches according to what was shown in the box's visual panel. After the puzzle is solved, a short cutscene plays where the elevator receives power, and Figure bangs on a door in the Breaker Room, which it will break out of soon.
Now, players only need to sprint up the stairs and reach the elevator, promptly leaving the Hotel with a final cutscene. Figure slams on the doors of the elevator as it begins descending. All remaining players lay down to rest until Figure hops onto the roof of the elevator. It tears off its cords, but the sparks and instability of the now free-falling elevator trips Figure into a mineshaft, leading to the end of the first floor as the elevator falls at terminal speed and crashes.
Notes
- Similar to The Library, Hide will not appear after the lever opening the exit gates has been flipped, allowing players to hide inside the closets for as long as they like.
- Entering or exiting closets may alert Figure if it's nearby, however, so exercise caution when using them.
- The Guiding Light will eventually highlight any remaining Breaker Switches if a player has not collected them in a certain amount of time.
- As such, a good strategy would be to wait for a couple minutes before pulling the lever so Guiding Light has time to highlight all the switches.
- As of The Mines update, Figure can now enter the storage rooms without needing to chase a player.
- To counter this, it is recommended that you circle the shelves to avoid Figure and prevent it from touching you.
- This does not work for the room on the left as there is no shelf you can circle, there is no way to guarantee you survive Figure, however, if you are stuck in a room with it, it is recommended you go behind the shelves on the left side of the room.
- To counter this, it is recommended that you circle the shelves to avoid Figure and prevent it from touching you.
- The storage area is dark, save for the occasional flickering lights. It is recommended that players bring items that can serve as a light source.
- It is not considered a dark room, so Screech will not spawn, unless you have the "I'm Everywhere" modifier on.
- As of the Mines update, Figure can hear you turn on light sources if they are close enough, it is recommended that you listen for if Figure is nearby before using one.
- Additionally, Figure can hear when a Flashlight flickers, due to this it is ill advised you use one, same for the Shakelight as they can hear when you shake it. Leaving you with Lighters and Candles as valid light sources.
- After this room, an Intermission starts that will teleport all players to The Mines, including dead players.
- Revives are not permitted in this room. This also goes for The Greenhouse and The Rooms.
- The breaker switches may appear nearby where the elevator is, especially the key to the breaker room.
- Since Figure disappears from the area after all breaker switches have been placed, players can take as long as they need with solving the puzzle.
- The bar on the visual panel of the breaker box will go up or go down depending on the number of correctly flipped breaker switches. It will aptly stay still when no progress has been made.
- Upon completion of the Circuit Breaker Puzzle, all currently alive players will be teleported to be in front of the electrical box for the final chase sequence.
- in SUPER HARD MODE!!!!!!, there are a few changes present:
- Figure will sport a John Doe outfit.
- Figure also T-poses in the animation cutscenes.
- Figure will sport a John Doe outfit.
- In the Circuit Breaker Puzzle, the numbers switch by extremely fast and the last number is always replaced with question marks, making the puzzle tougher for Players to complete.
- Players can use a Lockpick to enter the High Voltage room before pulling the lever.
- This strategy is highly recommended, especially if you are bad at the heartbeat minigame or have any spare lockpicks, since The Mines do not contain any locked doors.
- if you have "Are Those Pancakes?!" "I Love Pancakes!!!" or any other modifiers that spawn Snares on, they can potentially spawn in The Electrical Room.
- Figure can follow you into the Rift area if you aggravate it.

Trivia
- The Electrical Room is currently the tallest location in terms of verticality, due to containing several floors.
- After the Hotel+ Update, the door to the breaker room may now be opened using Lockpicks.
- Before the Hotel+ Update, Lockpicks couldn't be used to open it and would give you the message, "Your Lockpick doesn't work on this lock."
- Breaker Switches aren't actually items stored in the inventory but are more akin to the likes of Batteries and Bandages; being counted on a bar that fills up on your screen.
- If The Reception is referred to as Room 0, then technically, The Adit, which contains the entrance to Door 101, is part of Room 100.
- Breaker Switches and the Electrical Room Key are currently the only items exclusive to Room 100.
- There is a blue portal below the Electrical Room called the Rift, which can make items travel from run to run.
- The downstairs area used to be blocked off, but it was opened after the Hotel+ Update.
- The downstairs area will be blocked off after completing the Circuit Breaker Puzzle.
- The elevator cutscene can hold up to 4 people performing an animation.
- If more than 4 people try to walk into the activated elevator, the cutscene will most likely bug and some players will die to Figure, while 4 of them escape.
- Using Roblox's Free Camera behind the door inside the breaker room, reveals that there is a corridor with a broken window at the end. This explains how Figure was able to re-enter The Electrical Room for the final chase after previously jumping out of a window. [1]
- Again, using the Free Camera in the place Figure emerges from in the first cutscene reveals that, for some odd reason, there lies a rig of builderman behind the wall.[2]
- Sometimes, Figure will make unpredictable moves when hitting an object like a closet. It will turn around and go to that side. So always remember to be careful, and listen every time you suspect Figure around.
- The Electrical Room is Ghostly_Wowzers favorite room.[3]
- The Electrical Room is often considered by fans as the hardest Room in the Hotel, along with The Greenhouse.
- Figure sports a John Doe outfit in Super Hard Mode.
- The Electrical Room was very different before the Hotel+ Update, being much smaller and different.
- If you use the Bad Electrical Work modifier, there is a chance that the room will turn completely dark.
- Seek's eyes can be seen on the walls above the elevator.
- Before the game was out, there was planned to be a solution paper like in The Library, but for some reason it was scrapped, probably because the solution paper looked confusing or/and was not needed.
- The lights in the Electrical Room are from a showcase game made by RediblesQW. However, it is a modified version.
- Jack can spawn in the Electrical Room, at least with the "Nothing?" candy. It is unknown if it can spawn naturally (without candies).
- The path for node entities (Rush, Ambush...) in this room has been changed a lot of times. Currently, since the Haunt update, entities will go through most of the room, in a straight line to the door 101 (outside of the map), sometimes opening it. Because of this, players can die instantly during the starting cutscene or right after it if they activated it too fast (with speed modifiers like "MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE").
- Before the Backdoor update, when Rush reached door 100 he would slowly go down through the floor despawning, while still going forward.
- After the Backdoor or Hunt update, the path was very strange. It went through all 3 rooms in the main maze, doing a rebound and then despawning.
- After the Mines update, but before the Haunt update, Rush despawned when he reached door 100, going vertically down.
Bugs
- Prior to the Hotel+ Update, players used to be able to run past Figure when the intro cutscene was playing, allowing them to get the key early and skip the heartbeat minigame. This has been the most famous bug in Doors, which helps players who are bad at the heartbeat minigame. This bug has since been removed. Players should note that the heartbeat minigame isn't necessary to beat Room 100.
- If you walk backwards during the cutscene when you pull the lever for Room 100, it will fling you back into Room 99. This has since been patched.
- There is a very small chance for Figure's hand to get stuck inside of a wall, allowing players to have free access to almost the entirety of the Electrical Room, given they don't interact with the Figure.
- The same can also happen in some of the windows.
- To make this easier to happen, you will have to use a Lockpick on the High Voltage Room. When the Figure chases you after the gate opened, run into the High Voltage Room. This will maybe make The Figure stuck as it cannot detect any players on any closet.
- Also, it often happens when figure kills player (figure can stuck during the animation)
- The same can also happen in some of the windows.
- If more than 4 players beat the Hotel, 4 players will have an animation and the other players can walk freely in the elevator.
- When The Figure killed a player near a room, it's hand was likely to get stuck in a wall.
- This has been fixed as of The Mines update, as the Figure’s model is no longer a ragdoll.
- Sometimes, if the game is lagged during the cutscene, and when the cutscene ends, Figure will instantly kill players.
- When using the "Lights Out" modifier, the entire Electrical Room doesn't turn off the lights with this modifier.
- If a player opens Door 99 and Door 100 really fast, there will be a bug where the entire room is multiplied 2 times.
- If you run right into the elevator at the perfect time, Figure jumpscares you, you will see the Figure T-posing in your elevator + another figure trying to break in the elevator behind the gate. All of that causes the cutscene to have no music. And your player's corpse in the elevator will look like it's ascending because the elevator is just going down in it's broken cutscene.
- If you hide while Figure is extremely close to you, Figure will start the ponder animation in the incorrect location.[4]
- There is chance Figure can kill you through the wall when hiding in the corner of the left room.
