The Mines Update is the update that brought The Mines to DOORS and changed The Hotel.

- Added The Mines.
- Added 4 new entities:
- Implemented the Shears.
- Changed Figure's walking path in the Library.
- Dupe can now spawn in The Greenhouse.
- Hide now gives you the heartbeat control minigame. If you fail twice, you get pushed out of the hiding spot and take 40 damage. If successful, you get pushed out of the hiding spot but take no damage.
- Hide now has a physical form.
- Rush can now open 2 doors forward.
- During Seek's chase there is a stronger aim assist during the hallway segments.
- Bookshelves now fall in the Seek chase upon reaching them.
- The first room after the Seek chase always flickers the lights.
- Figure now spawns in when The Library is opened (formerly The Library Entrance) eliminating the lag spike that would occur.
- Figure runs faster.
- Figure now has bright lights on its head.
- Guiding Light now seals the doors to The Library, and after the end of every Seek chase.
- Jeff is now animated. When his tip jar is full, he empties it. This allows the player to tip him more. He also places the items on the cushions himself.
- You now need a Lighter to light the Candle.
- Essential items now appear as a smaller slot in the hotbar and you no longer automatically hold them when collected.
- Instead of the door number falling off of Dupe's trick doors, it becomes scratched.
- Ambush has been noticeably reworked:
- It rebounds less and can despawn either at the behind or ahead.
- It can stall for a random amount of time between forward and backward passes.
- It no longer breaks the lights.
- It has a smaller raycasting and lower incoming sound.
- Appearance of The Infirmary has been overhauled, rooms with locked and unlocked chests can be found.
- Appearance of The Courtyard has been overhauled.
- Snare appears in The Courtyard, in the grass areas.
- Screech has improved animation.
- Doors in The Greenhouse have been changed to look like The Courtyard entrance and exit doors, with the door numbers on them.
- There are less Snares in The Greenhouse.[citation needed]
- Changed Halt's Hallway to look like an abandoned dining room.

September 1st, 2024 (First Patch)[]
- Removed Heartbeat Control Minigame for both Figure and Hide.
- Snares no longer spawn in The Mines.
- Removed the 4 way minecart room.
- Removed the chance of spawning firedamp in the generator room.
- Moved the Figure generator room to after The Nest.
- Spread out entities and decreased their spawn rates in The Mines.
September 18th, 2024 (Second Patch)[]
- Fixed a bug where Modifiers would transfer into The Mines.
- Now revives will be taken away only when the next door is opened.
- Fixed A-90's spawn behavior.
- Fixed a bug which could duplicate items.
